Standing 101 Seminar
"Standing 101" is an assistive technology seminar on standing therapy produced by Altimate Medical Inc, manufacturer of EasyStand® standing products. The “Standing 101” seminar has been presented to medical professionals in hundreds of cities across the United States in two hour and five hour seminars. Topics covered in the seminar include: different types of standing devices and their applications, the medical benefits of standing, ongoing research on standing, and funding for standing equipment. Peter has been a respected speaker at seminars on standing at Medtrade as well as the featured speaker at various standing workshops. He has presented "Standing 101" in hundreds of locations across the U.S.

Andy Hicks earned a degree in Occupational Therapy at Manchester College and began his career in OT focusing on the area of adaptive equipment for patients with neurological disorders. Later, Andy pursued his interest in adaptive equipment working as a Rehab Specialist for several rehab equipment suppliers. Prior to working with Altimate Medical, he was the Western Regional Manager for The ROHO Group for ten years.

A Standing 101 home study course is also available free of charge. It includes a DVD with the "Standing 101" presentation and the case histories, as well as the workbook and materials handed out at the standing therapy seminar.
